Utah County, Utah Inmate Search
The Utah County inmate search is the process of obtaining information about individuals currently in lawful custody in Utah County. While most inmates are housed at the Utah County Jail in Spanish Fork, some may be sentenced or transferred to state correctional facilities, such as the Utah County Correctional Facility in nearby Salt Lake County.
For this reason, local and state authorities provide a variety of public-facing resources that allow the public to see who is in jail. For example, the Utah County Sheriff’s Office maintains an online database that allows users to look up inmates currently in custody. Through this tool, individuals can access details such as the inmate’s full name, booking date, custody status, arrest date, booking number, and current housing location.
In cases where an individual has been transferred to state custody, the Utah Department of Corrections also provides an offender search tool that helps members of the public find out whether someone is being held at the Central Utah Correctional Facility.
Police departments in larger cities within the county, such as the Provo Police Department in Provo City and the Orem Police Department in Orem, do not operate independent jail systems or inmate search tools; rather, they rely on the tools provided by the county sheriff’s office for inmate look-ups.

Utah County Visitation Rules and Schedules
Visitors, including friends, family, attorneys, and clergy, may visit an inmate only via remote video. Remote visits are conducted using mobile devices and desktop computers. County jail visits are handled through a communication service called Securus. All visitors are required to set up an account on the Securus website, where they will be expected to provide a state-issued driver’s license or ID, along with a current photo, to complete registration.
Attorneys and clergy must present documentation to demonstrate their position. Once visitors are registered and the inmate is eligible for visitation, they can schedule visits by following the prompts on the website. All visits must be scheduled 24 hours in advance, and visitors will receive a message on the site once the visit is confirmed. There will be a charge of $5.00 plus taxes up to $5.95 per 25-minute visit.
Remote visits can be scheduled 7 days a week and holidays from:
- 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
- 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Clergy are only allowed visits on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, at the times listed above.
The Utah County Jail has a dress code requiring visitors to dress modestly for both jail and online visits. More information can be obtained via the Visitation FAQ on the county sheriff’s official website.
